The caps and gowns. The packed gymnasiums. The parents crying in the bleachers even though they swore they wouldn't. The seniors who walk across that stage looking somehow simultaneously like the little kids their parents remember and the fully formed adults they've become.
It never gets old. Not even a little.

Congratulations, Class of 2026
Four years. That's what it takes — and those four years were yours.
You navigated high school through some of the most interesting, challenging, and fast-moving years any graduating class has ever seen. You showed up. You kept going. And now you're standing at the finish line of one chapter and the starting line of everything that comes next.
To the seniors I had the privilege of photographing this past year — from the Nation Ford Yellow Jackets to the Catawba Ridge Copperheads, from Fort Mill High School's Yellow Jackets to students at Indian Land High School and schools across York County and Mecklenburg County — thank you for trusting me with this season of your life.
Every single session we did together was a gift. Watching you walk into a session a little nervous and walk out glowing with confidence — that never gets old either.
You came out the other side of senior year with portraits that captured exactly who you are right now. Not who someone told you to be. Not a generic school photo. You — your style, your laugh, your energy, your story.
Hold onto those photos. Seriously. Twenty years from now, you will look at them and feel exactly what today feels like. That's the whole point.
To the Parents of the Class of 2026
You did it too.
And if you're anything like the parents I worked with this year, you barely made it through the senior session without crying, you definitely cried at graduation, and now you're sitting somewhere staring at a gallery of portraits trying to figure out how this happened so fast.
It's supposed to feel like this. Big and proud and a little heartbreaking all at once.

You've watched the Class of 2026 cross that stage. You've seen their senior portraits fill up your Instagram feed all year — the golden hour sessions, the film-inspired edits, the outdoor shoots that looked like they belonged in a magazine.
You've had a whole year to think about what YOUR senior session is going to look like.

I will officially be opening my booking calendar this summer for Class of 2027 senior portrait sessions in Fort Mill, SC and the surrounding Charlotte area — and this is the part where I tell you that if you're even thinking about booking, you should add your name to my e-list now. They will be notified first and get "first dibs" on booking their sessions.

Why Summer Is the Best Time to Book Your 2027 Senior Session
Every single year, the same thing happens. Families reach out in September wondering if I have any September or October dates left. And every single year, most of those dates are already gone.
Here's why booking your session during summer is better:
August- October evenings in Fort Mill and the greater Charlotte area give us long golden hours with warm, glowy light that makes outdoor portraits look incredible. The kind of light that looks effortless but actually requires perfect timing. In summer, we have it in abundance.
One thing to take into consideration: Most York County schools — Fort Mill High School, Nation Ford High School, Catawba Ridge High School, Gold Hill — and Charlotte-area schools submit yearbook photos by mid-October. That means your edited gallery needs to be in hand by early October. Which means your session needs to happen by late August-September at the latest.
You get first pick. Booking now means you choose your date, your time, your location. Booking in September means you take whatever's left.
What Your Class of 2027 Senior Session Will Look Like
Every session I do is built around one person: your senior.
Before we ever pick a location or talk about outfits, we connect. I want to know what your student is like. What they're into. What kind of photos feel like them— not like every other senior portrait they've ever seen.
From there, we build the whole session around that vision.
Planning: I guide every client through location selection and outfit planning. You'll never show up guessing. We'll map out 2–3 looks, choose spots that make sense for your senior's personality, and have a clear plan for the day.
The session: I direct everything — poses, movement, expression — while leaving real space for genuine moments. Seniors who come in nervous almost always leave saying it was way more fun than they expected. That's not an accident. It's the whole approach.
The gallery: Your edited gallery is delivered through a private online gallery within 2–3 weeks of your session. Print-ready, shareable, beautiful.

The answer is wherever makes sense for your senior. Some of my favorite locations for Class of 2027 sessions include:
- Anne Springs Close Greenway (Fort Mill, SC) — 2,000 acres of breathtaking nature preserve with open fields, forests, and lakeside views. The golden-hour light here is unmatched.
- Downtown Fort Mill historic district — beautifully preserved architecture, brick walls, and charming streetscapes that work for both classic and editorial looks.
- Lake Wylie & Tega Cay waterfront— stunning lakeside backdrops with gorgeous reflections, perfect for seniors who love the water.

A Note to the Class of 2027 — From Your Photographer:
Senior year is going to feel like it's moving at two speeds at once.
Some weeks will feel endless — the early morning practices, the AP study sessions, the college application deadlines. And then all of a sudden you'll be standing at graduation wondering how any of it went by so fast.
